The 7th Congress of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions (AACC) was held in Samarkand, the Republic of Uzbekistan, on 1-2 October 2026. The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Mongolia was represented by the Chief Justice Mr. Erdenebulgan Juujaa and Justice Mr. Batragchaa Ragchaa.
At the opening ceremony of the Congress, the Chief Justice Mr. Erdenebulgan Juujaa delivered an opening speech and participated in the plenary sessions.
The Congress was held under the theme “Constitutional Justice in the Context of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence”. The participants discussed issues related to digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence, the supremacy of the Constitution, judicial independence, human rights, and the rule of law, with particular attention to strengthening these fundamental principles in the digital age.
During the Congress, the Samarkand Declaration was adopted. The Secretaries General Meeting of the AACC, Board of Members Meeting, and meetings of other regional associations were also held.
At the Board of Members Meeting of the AACC, the Supreme Court of the Republic of the Philippines was elected to hold the presidency of the Association for the next term.
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan currently holds the presidency of the AACC for the 2025–2027 term.
